Protectorate

Hey guys,

Remember me? Yloque... has been a really long time! I was in protectorate for quite a while during SSC and TK (killed vasj and KT with u) and a bit for BT and MH!
The reason why i apply back is that i am looking for a guild with good progress but not too many raiding days a week! And as i remember protectorate raids 3 x a week with a minmum attendance of 2 days a week. I have always enjoyed raiding with u guys and as u might remember i left prot a long time ago because i wasnt able to raid anymore and was rejoining an old guild on my old realm!

Well i have come real far in that guild yet again.. but 4 raiding days a week was a bit too much for me again (especially because i was in the 10man grp aswell which gave me 5th raiding day)

I know that recruitment is currently closed.. but i thought.. why not... i am exceptional player lets give it a try! so here it goes!

Previous guild(s):
Well i have been in The Nephilim probably my whole wow-life. Then ofcourse there was my period of protectorate for about a year. Then i went back to the Nephilim again and stayed there till now.
Reasons for leaving:
There are a few reasons. Reason 1 is that i need some more time for social study and work and raiding 5 nights a week isnt a good combination for that. Other reason is that the Nephilim has been in some troubles lately with good raiding members going for other guilds (moar hardcore ones) leaving us with mostly 23 people in the raid each night. This is horrible for the people showing up each night and rescheduling shit for raiding.. especially for me it was since i needed more time and planning around raids who get canceled is very frustrating. So basicly that's why i am thinking of leaving the guild.

Vanilla:
Didn't play long in Vanilla but on my main than (my hunter Ivaar) i did MC and some BWL and some AQ40
TBC:
Karazhan cleared (on both hunter and lock)
Gruul's Lair cleared
Magtheridon's lair cleared (with u guys as i recall)
SSC cleared (with u guys)
TK cleared (with u guys)
MH cleared (4/5 before nerf and 5/5 after i think)
BT cleared (all but illidan cleared before nerf and illidan after nerf i think)
Sunwell plateau not cleared

WOTLK
Naxx10/25 cleared
Malygos10/25 cleared
OS10/25 cleared and 25m2drakes cleared (before it was too easy to do it )
Ulduar25 cleared
totc10/25 cleared
totgc10 cleared with 50 attempts remaining
totgc25 4/5 cleared
icc10 prolly cleared tonight but for now have 11/12 with LK on 40%
icc25 10/12 cleared with syndragosa on 4% so i would like to say i know that fight aswell haha

Reason for applying to our guild?:
Well as stated above.. I have always enjoyed raiding with you guys. Me leaving prot was due to inacitvity and wanting to play with some old RL mates again. The fact that you have great progress in not too many raid days makes prot ideal for me

Tell us about your raiding spec and why you chose it:
Well i am mainspec affliction atm. I always thought of this spec as the real warlock spec and always enjoyed playing it. When it got boosted in last patch i thought why the hell not lets try it out. It's an amazing spec for encounters on which u can decently keep up rotation. In icc25 i use my affl for the following fights: Marrowgar, Deathwhisper (if allowed to stay on boss), Rotface, Festergut, Putricide (depending) bloodprinces (if i dont need to tank) Bloodqueen, Sindragosa and LK (10man for noa). My secondary spec is destruction which i use in fights which require aoe stun or tanking and quick burst dmg. This mean i use this spec for fights as gunship (when jumping over if aoe i use affl) saurfang to aoe stun adds and burst dmg them, putricide for burst dmg on adds, dreamwalker for burst dmg and aoe stun on adds.
Tell us what you think to your gear and how it works with your raiding spec:
Well i think my gear is pretty good atm. I am geared for minimal hit (meaning i need a dranei in my grp and a SP or Boomkin in raid) but have moar hitgear in bags if its not possible. I do not swap much gear when swapping specs. Only thing i really swap is trincket. For affliction Nevermelting Ice Crystal is imba since i can then get a 80% crit chance on my corruption of i can keep my rotation up. For destruction i swap this one for Reign of the Unliving which gives more SP and ofc the proc is nice. with all destro crits

Well my name is Ivar. I am 22 years old and study medicine in the Netherlands. I love my study and love all social things involved in studying like having beers going out and stuffs like that. I have played wow for about 4-5 year now and i still can't get enough of the game tbh. I am looking for a way to combine all these things and thats why protectorate seems like a good choice for me. I am a very loyal player as u all already know. I have been in 2 real guilds (nephilim and protectorate) and i would not leave on unless it seemed really neccesary to maintain my goals in this game or would become inacitve and not play at all haha. I am a social guy who likes a laugh but is serious when needs to be. I know my thing always am in time for raids etc and thats about it!

Hey long time no see,

However i'm afraid at this time we aren't recruiting any dps, this might change in the near future.

If we recruit its for people who can make all 3 days though, the 60% is merely something existing members can rely on when they are busy real life for a period of time.
