Reason for applying to our guild?: Kadira said you needed a moonkin, and I would like to raid with a competent guild.
Post your profile (armory):
http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sheet ... &cn=AurochTell us about your raiding spec and why you chose it: Moonkin speccing is quite simple if you only consider "single-target damage". The interesting part is balancing utility, mana-regen and AOE talents. My spec changes over time as my gear evolves, and may also change from raid to raid depending on the content I am facing.
Tell us what you think to your gear and how it works with your raiding spec:
Based on the current content, my gear is somewhat subpar.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I have played WoW since beta, but didn't raid much before I joined TDT in october 2007. I raided as a mage for a few months (Kara, Gruul, SSC, TK) and enjoyed that. One day I was watching random WoW-videos and stumbled upon a video of a moonkin tanking Gruul (aka panzerkin)... Always ready for a challenge, I leveled up a moonkin (which was painfully slow the first 40 levels btw) and started gearing up. As soon as I felt my moonkin was well enough geared to do respectable damage, I asked to switch mains and retired my mage. I was able to MT all heroics and Karazhan, but lack of pvp gear made it impossible to tank any higher level content. DPSing in raids worked out great however, so I kept on playing as a "regular moonkin".
I have done my share of theorycrafting, something which was necessary to be "allowed" to raid as a moonkin in TBC. It took a bit of napkin-math to convince people that moonkin did a lot more damage than what was visible on the meters (e.g.
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.htm ... 8342&sid=1). Fortunately, moonkin were given a lot more personal DPS in WotLK, so competing for a raidspot got a lot easier. As for my performance in raids in WotLK, I was usually amongst the top 5-6 dps, and on certain encounters I have been able to top the meters. I study tactics and learn new encounters quite quickly. My focus is always on staying alive rather than squeezing out that last 1% dps, which I think is better in the long run.
As for my personal life, I am studying medicine in Hungary and will graduate next June. I enjoy gaming, staying updated on world affairs and going out with friends. Studying takes up a lot of my time, but I have been able to balance that vs gaming before, so I see no reason why I wont be able to do the same now.

Sidenote: I am entertaining visitors between March 22nd and April 3rd, so I will not be able to raid 3 times a week during that period. I realize this might be problematic, but the plans were made some time ago and can't be changed.
